It's crazy when I think about it, two years ago (fall 2017) we had one table
at SOLE DXB to "test the market", back then I was selling out of a small
apartment under the name of sneakercigar.
Fast forward to May first 2018, was our first event to launch the website www.youbetterfly.com , same year November
second was the go live of the first consignment store in the UAE located in a
warehouse in al quoz. Today we opened our first showroom and retail store in Dar
Al Wasl after a successful SPLE DXB sneakerswap take over in 2019, to finish
the year on a high note.
Since I come from a technical background (not a geek though) my aim is to
always be a step ahead in technology, it's in everything we do: First Mobile
apps in the region dedicated to sneakers, First AR (3D models) product implementation
and A SELLER PORTAL COMING SOON!
Being busy didn't hold the team back from getting closer to the community
and contributing by giving back with the steal of the day everyday!, air max
day (all nike air max were for retail, everything!) and more giveaways. Also taking part in events
whether in-house or regional there is more to come.
It's not an easy road, we are labelled as resellers and we accept it, we are
not gonna do anything to try and change it or prove it wrong. It's a perception,
it's a not a fact so we keep doing us and they do them but at the end of the
day we know we are collectors first and a driving force to the street culture
in the UAE. Youbetterfly is a museum, a gallery an archive...
To all our community, customers, consignors and friends, thank you for
rocking with us since day 1, you know who you are.
I haven't rested since December first, but there you go youbetterfly now has 2 stores, al quoz will always be our home, our HQ to
run the operation, and our first franchise store: Dar Wasl.
